Small Palm Grove
An exhibition of endangered palms featuring David Bellamy and textiles curated by Dylan Thomaz from bbellamy&bbellamy.
Oil paintings inspired by two rare South African palms, the Pondo palm the giant Kosi bay palm - which flowers only twice in its 40 year life, remind us of our coasts and forests which need our care.
Our days can be made of decisions that enable us to help our world. The bbellamy&bbellamy linen fabrics exhibited are made from long lasting flax -needing little water to grow, printed with local low-toxicity inks using labour intensive processes, in Cape Town. The artist's textile brand's vision is to design sustainability into our textiles and products.
